White Heron Dream Villa

Location

Our fabulous home, 'WHITE HERON DREAM' is on the peaceful, sought after, semi-residential sub-division of Grand Reserve, Davenport, off Ronald Reagan Parkway (CR 54), near Kissimmee and Orlando.

Grand Reserve is a lovely, secluded, conservation and wetlands gated development with upscale homes. Sit by the pool or go for a walk and you will see all sorts of animals and birds. (Please do not feed any wild creatures - it is illegal).

Golfers can tee-off at the 2 beautiful, new, Greg Norman designed courses at Champions Gate, only 5 minutes drive away. There are also several courses at Walt Disney World Resort plus Falcon's Fire near Marker 9 on Highway 192.

'WHITE HERON DREAM' is less than 3 miles away from Interstate 4 and only a 12 minute drive to the magic at Walt Disney World Resort. For those of you who know the area well and are therefore familiar with Interstate 4 (I4), you will find that the junction numbers have now been changed to reflect their positioning along the road in miles, starting from Tampa in the west. Whenever you are using Interstate 4 (I4) to get to and from Blue Heron Dream to any of the attractions, it will now be Junction 58 (old jct. 24) that you will come on and off at.

White Heron Dream provides easy access to Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventures, Wet & Wild, Sea World and International Drive, all within a few minutes drive. Daytona Beach and the Kennedy Space Center are approximately 75 minutes drive away.

Tampa and Busch Gardens are approximately 60 minutes whilst the beaches of the Gulf Coast are approximately 90 minutes. You can easily get to Walt Disney World Resort by driving North on Interstate 4 (I4) starting at junction 58 and coming off at the next junction, number 62, where World Drive begins.

Less than 10 minutes from White Heron Dream you will find the 8 lane Highway 192 (also known as Irlo Bronson Highway), which is a 15 mile road stretching West to East, full of entertainments, amusements, restaurants, shops, banks, gas stations and markets - something for everyone.

Highway 192 has Mile Markers, starting with Marker 1 at the West end at the junction with US 27, and Marker 15 in Kissimmee at the East end. Interstate 4 at junctions 64 A & B crosses this road between Markers 7 and 8. Near Marker 15 you will find Medieval Times, a themed dinner show, and a huge 24 hour Wal-Mart which sells just about everything. For those of you who love markets, there is an indoor one near Marker 10 and behind the Big Orange! There are several Tourist Information Offices along the 192, with the least busiest being between Marker 1 and 2. Cruise the 192, there's plenty to do!

Within 5 minutes drive of White Heron Dream there is another large Publix supermarket, at the Champions Gate Complex just off Interstate 4 (I4) at junction 58, which stocks practically everything you could possibly want to cook whilst on vacation. In the same shopping area there is a Liquor store, Hair 'n Nails beauty salon, a French Restaurant, a Chinese Restaurant, an Italian Restaurant,Subways and McDonalds. Coming soon are several other as yet un-named stores, fast-food eateries and full-service restaurants.

Closer still, on the CR54/CR545 junction there is a gas station which is open from early until late for your convenience and sells fast food plus general food and drink items and phone cards. For our UK guests who wish to keep up with the news at home, you can order a British newspaper from this gas station and they will hold it for you until you are ready to pick it up.

For anyone needing emergency medication, there is a CVS Pharmacy close by and Walgreen's approximately 1 mile away at Champions Gate and the nearest hospital is at Celebration, just off Highway 192.
